Mustard oil, pickled mango & lime, masala tea, spices, ghee, (to name a few food essentials) as well as helpful advice from the owner on how to use ingredients are freely given. A great grocery shop for people who enjoy flavor & seek to expand their culinary skills & palette.
Wonderful experience! They had everything we needed and the gentleman was so helpful and kind.
I have loved Indian food for years. I decided to try cooking some myself. I am completely ignorant to understanding how to do so. The gentleman working there walked me through the store listening to what I was wanting and pointing out things to try. I left feeling confident I had everything I needed. I came home and followed the instructions and made an outstanding meal.
I enjoy this store for several reasons. One is I can buy spices much cheaper than at my local grocery store (but you do buy it in bulk). Also, I like to cook and they have sell seasoning packages that help me make authentic tasting Indian food and the owners have even given me recipes to try.
Since I have been on vacation visiting my parents and sister here in Tulsa, I have been exploring a lot of new vegan recipes. My mother is quite satisfied with the garam masala powder and fresh curry leaves that we are going to use to try new dishes.
